Our chat widget works great on most web pages, consistently increasing sales, conversions, customer retention and social media traffic. But some online businesses prefer to use a simple image rather than a pop-up widget to invite web visitors to initiate a chat or send an offline message. Taking your feedback to heart, we’ve enhanced our online/offline image functionality to let you customize the whole process. You can choose to override the widget and display custom images for when your agents are online or offline. When your custom images are clicked, the chat window will open up just as if a customer had clicked on the standard widget.
How to Configure Custom Online/Offline Images
To set up custom online/offline images, log in to the ClickDesk admin panel and go to Departments & Code (here’s a direct link). Just below the live chat code you’ll find the link for setting custom images (see below). Just copy the new code to your html page, then upload your custom images. That’s it!
