ClickDesk - Wix Setup Guide
Step 1: Signup and Add Operator
- Signup for a ClickDesk account and verify your email if you have not done it already.
- Please login to configure your account and click on "Add Operator".
- Enter the operator details and click on "Add Operator" at the end of this form. Accept the contact requests in the operator's IM.
Step 2: Create a Department
- Click on Copy code to your site tab to create a new department.
- Enter a Department name and assign operators to it by enabling the checkbox.
- You will now see a new department created.
Step 3: Copy live chat code
- You can assign any number of operators to a department depending on your selected plan.
- Click on the "Get your code" link to view your 4 lines of code.
- Copy these lines of javascript code to paste it in Weebly.
Step 4: Add widget in Wix
- Login to your Wix editor and select "Master" Page.
- Go to Add -> Widgets -> HTML.
- Select the "Blank HTML" widget from the list.
Step 5: Paste live chat code
- Select the "settings" for the HTML widget located at the extreme right end.
- Paste ClickDesk code and click ok.
- If master page is selected, ClickDesk live chat appears on all the pages of your Wix website.
Step 6: Adjust widget width
- Drag the widget to the bottom of your page and extend it completely along the width of website footer.
- Drag the height to at least half of the page for the "live chat" button to appear.
- You may need to adjust the positioning and preview few times to get the positioning of the live chat to fit your website layout.
