Step 1: Enable Salesforce plugin

  • In the ClickDesk dashboard, Go to Preferences -> Plugins
  • Scroll down to find Salesforce block. Enter your Salesforce username, password and API Key. Click Submit
  • The API Key can be obtained from your Salesforce dashboard


Step 2: Advanced settings

  • You can completely control which field in the lead profile to be received on the IM during pre-chat. Change the SOQL queries accordingly
  • Add lead and decide which information to post in the lead profile with a short command. Choose to add this info to the leads or contacts in your Salesforce
  • Control what to be posted (default is chat transcript) back to the note after the live chat ends


Step 3: Retrieve lead details

  • Salesforce plugin is now active on your account
  • When a customer enters your website and leaves his email to initiate a live chat, the operator receives customers' information directly on their IM
  • Clicking on the profile link in the IM shall directly open the profile of that particular lead in Salesforce




Step 4: Add a new lead

  • You can add a new lead to your Salesforce CRM directly from your IM during the live chat with a potential customer
  • To add a lead during the live chat, send /add in Google Talk or \add in Skype. A new lead will be created in your Salesforce with the Name, Email and Address details auto filled


Step 5: Add post-chat transcript

  • Chat transcripts allow the operator or the other members in the team to go through the situation at a later stage and help them keep track of the customer
  • Once the integration with Zoho is setup, the post-chats are automatically added to the leads profile in the notes section for future reference and Quality analysis of the live chat


Step 6: Add a Note Manually

  • In addition to the entire chat transcript (post-chat) that gets added automatically, the operator can add a desired message to the particular lead's note
  • To add a note for the existing lead at any time during the chat conversation, send /note message in Gtalk or \note message in Skype
