Step 1: Signup and Add Agents

  • Sign up for an account and verify your email if you have not done so already.
  • Login to your Dashboard and add an agent.
  • Confirm your operator IM (Skype or Google talk) id by accepting the contact requests.


Step 2: Get your code

  • After adding an agent, click on "Departments & Code".
  • Copy your live chat code.
  • Paste this code just before the closing body tag at the end of your webpages to make ClickDesk appear on those pages


Step 3: Activate MailChimp Plugin

  • In the ClickDesk dashboard, go to Live chat -> Plugins & Integrations.
  • Click on the MailChimp block and enter your API key.
  • The API Key can be obtained from your MailChimp account panel.




Step 4: View Subscriber Info

  • Your MailChimp live chat integration plugin is now active on your account.
  • When a customer enters your website and leaves his email to initiate a live chat, the operator receives customers' information directly on their IM.
  • The operator can even know if the visitor is already subscribed to a particular list or not.


Step 5: Add New Subscriber

  • If the website visitor is not already subscribed to your list, the operator can add the visitor to the list.
  • To add the visitor as a new subscriber, enter "/subscribe listname" in the IM during the live chat in Google talk or send "\subscribe listname" in Skype.


Step 6: Remove a Subscriber

  • The operator can remove the live chat visitor as a subscriber directly from the IM.
  • To remove the visitor from a list, enter "/unsubscribe listname" in the IM during the live chat in Google talk or send "\unsubscribe listname" in Skype.
