Step 1: Download the Plugin

  • Download our ClickDesk Live Chat Joomla extension from our website.
  • Login to your Joomla admin panel and go to Extensions section.
  • In the package file to upload, choose Clickdesk extension you downloaded, then click on 'Upload' and 'Install'.

Step 2: Click on ClickDesk

  • After successful installation of the live chat extension, go to Components and click on ClickDesk.
  • Sign up for ClickDesk if you do not have an account.
  • Please login to configure your ClickDesk account.


Step 3: Create an operator

  • Click on Add Operator.
  • Enter the operator details such as full name, nick name, email ID, IM and other details. Click on 'Add Operator' at the end of this form.
  • You will now receive automated contact requests through your IM. Please accept all of them.



Step 4: Create Department

  • Click on the 'Install Plugin' tab to create a new department.
  • Assign operators to it by enabling the checkbox.
  • You will now see a new department created and an 'install plugin' link.

Step 5: Install Plugin

  • Click on the install plugin link in the 'Departments & Your code' section.
  • Plugin installs successfully.
  • The widgetID field is automatically filled in.


Step 6: Enable ClickDesk Plugin

  • Navigate to the Plugins section under extensions.
  • Search for Clickdesk in the plugins search box.
  • Select the 'System - ClickDesk' plugin and enable it. The ClickDesk-Joomla live chat module now appears on your Joomla website.
