Step 1: Enable Javascript plugin

  • Login to ClickDesk and add an operator.
  • Get your live chat code and paste it on the webpage you would like to receive live chat and voice calls.
  • Go to 'Live Chat' tab and select 'Plugins & Integrations'. Click on 'Javascript API' to configure.


Step 2: Set the Variables

  • In the plugins section, select 'Javascript API' row.
  • Add javascript variables and their values. This reference name will appear the same in your IM so you can recognize the value.
  • You can add upto 5 javascript variables. Click on Save.


Step 3: Demo Chat

  • Initiate a live chat to see if the functioning of the javascript API.
  • In this example, you will find that when a live chat is initiated, the variables are detected from the javascript in the website and are integrated with ClickDesk-javascript API. The same information is displayed in the IM with the reference name you saved.
