Step 1: Get API Token

  • Log into your Capsule CRM account.
  • Go to "My Preferences" and then to "API Authentication Token" tab in the sidebar.
  • Copy the API authentication token. You can even reset it if you wish to get a new token.


Step 2: Enable the Plugin

  • Login to your ClickDesk Dashboard.
  • Go to Live chat -> Plugins and Integrations. Click on the Capsule block to configure.
  • Enter your Capsule API token, your Capsule CRM URL and save the details to enable the plugin.


Step 3: Retrieve lead details

  • Capsule CRM plugin is now active on your account.
  • When a customer visits your website and enters his email to initiate a live chat, the operator receives the customer's information from Capsule directly on their IM.
  • Clicking on the profile link in the IM opens the profile of that particular lead in your Capsule CRM.




Step 4: Add a new lead

  • You can add a new contact to your Capsule CRM directly from your IM during the live chat with a potential customer.
  • To add a new contact during the live chat, use the "/add" command in Google Talk or "\add" command in Skype. A new contact will be created under "People & Organizations" in your Capsule CRM with the Name and Email details filled.


Step 5: Add post-chat transcript

  • Chat transcripts allow the operator or the other team members to access customer details for future reference. This can also help them keep track the customer.
  • Once the integration with Capsule CRM is setup, the post-chats are automatically added to the profile in the notes for future reference and quality analysis of the live chat.


Step 6: Add a Note Manually

  • Besides the full chat transcript (post-chat) that is added at the end of chat conversation, the operator can add detailed notes to the contacts in Capsule during the live chat session directly.
  • To add a note for the customer at any time during the chat conversation, send "/note your text" command in Gtalk or "\note your text" in Skype.
