Step 1: Bigcommerce Settings

  • Login to your BigCommerce store admin front.
  • Go to settings from the top right menu and choose Live Chat from the dropdown.
  • You will be redirected to the 'Live Chat Services' page.


Step 2: Live Chat Services

  • Choose 'Other Third Party Live Chat Service' from the available options.
  • Click on 'Save'. You will now be able to add ClickDesk live chat code.


Step 3: Signup and Add Operator

  • Signup for any ClickDesk plan that suits your needs.
  • Login to your Dashboard and add an operator
  • Confirm your operator IM (Skype or Google Talk) by accepting the contact requests on your IM.




Step 4: Create a Department

  • After adding the operator, click on 'Get your code' in the navigation bar.
  • Create a new department and assign operator(s).
  • Add the department.


Step 5: Get your Code

  • After assigning the operators to the department, you can now find a link to 'Get your code'.
  • Click on 'Get your code' and copy the given live chat code.


Step 6: Paste the code and Save

  • Sign into your BigCommerce admin panel and navigate to Settings -> Live Chat.
  • Go to 'Other Third Party Live Chat Service' tab and paste the ClickDesk code you copied in step 5.
  • Leave the 'Chat Box Location' option to the default setting - 'On the side of the page'. Save your settings.
  • ClickDesk now appears on your entire store and is ready to use.
